Francia, pagelle ai medici su internet

Scoreboard doctors on the Internet in France from March 15 . An ad hoc website - www.note2bib.com - will open its 'virtual doors' in the coming days and the only announcement has already sparked much controversy.

The initiative, in fact, resembles that of the portal which allows students to evaluate teachers, Note2be.com. In this case teachers, furious at the 'shame' without any filter, obtained from Justice prohibiting the publication of the data collected on the site. Now it's up to doctors who, judging by initial reactions, they like even less the idea of \u200b\u200bteachers.

Note2bib.com was announced by the company D & E Investments, already active on the web, which defends the initiative, stressing the desire not to give real 'votes' than doctors to provide ratings on a scale of values: this will not therefore judge the technical preparation of professionals, but the goal is, rather, its ability to accommodate patients and relate to them. A

"It is - according to a union of white coats professionals - an idea inspired by the culture of telerealtà. Physicians, and the quality of their work, are already subject to legal obligation assessment and lifelong learning."

And there are legal problems as only a French court on Monday ordered the removal of all personal data and the assessment given to teachers on site 'Note2be.com', which had launched the project of 'report cards' for teachers and has already denounced the rival Note2.bib to have 'copied' the idea.

La questione cattolica italiana

of Mauro David
Now that the Radicals, Senator Paola Binetti teodem stirs political debate within the Democratic Party. Opens an internal conflict that damages the image of unity, something that is dear not only to Veltroni, but even the Italians tired of quarrelsomeness unproductive.

In other side, Berlusconi was in favor of the moratorium against abortion, but forget the therapeutic abortion performed by Ms wife and revealed in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

With their persistence reveals the anti-abortion's moral and political defeat. They do not propose a referendum because it would be routed. Not only are the polls to support him, but it is also common sense that comes from honest observation of society. So pay special attention to manipulation of reality, pushing not only the conscience of the Italians, but also the fragility of politicians looking for easy consensus, pursuing with determination that it would be a wickedness undemocratic. While

to obtain a decree that disrupts the 194, using an oppressive and violent propaganda resorting to gruesome images of death camps or burnt consumed amid general indifference. The Catholic sites engulf photographs of aborted fetuses; icons creepy, teaching resources and a roughness of a taste from morbid dark Middle Ages.

In an attempt to put the spanner in the application of Law 194, handful of ardent Catholics are pressing at the gates of termination of pregnancy services in the national health care, one of them is even slapped. Giuliano Ferrara, a former Communist and ex-CIA informant, "neither an atheist nor 'devotee', is presented as candidate for prime minister of the pro-life list. Throw the moratorium on abortion, with the Executioner on the same level of America and women, deciding to abort, commit a crime against humanity.

The Vatican, not only enters the pants of the Italians by banning contraception, but that the political agenda of the institutions contributing to the task, even the fall of a government. Everything is distorted and reduced in stages to force the anachronistic Catholic view on the value of life. The hapless embryo becomes the last of defensive trench positions scientifically unfounded and politically unreasonable an invaluable tool to impose the will of the church hierarchy who "legislate" on the use of stem cells and assisted reproduction. All this is happening, but the secular and materialistic Italian citizen hopes that the scientific research that will cure his cancer, however, be brought forward in other Catholic countries without restrictions and, while millions remain unused embryos in the freezers, the couples go to Spain to practice artificial insemination in all serenity .

No, Italy is not Catholic. New actors, bearers of a modern materialistic humanism, enter fully into the civil society: the new generation of young, unrelated to communism, characterized by a white atheist; women freed from stifling traditions captive-male, gay men struggling with sacrosanct stagnant right homophobia of the Church and most reactionary classes, immigrants, messengers of other cultures and moral orientations. No, the Catholic Church is not the only moral and human progress does not stop at the borders of Catholicism. Becomes aware that Catholics, in the third millennium is a duty.

Why ecclesiastical bodies, with subversive militant distance themselves clearly from the civil society and the real feelings of their fellow citizens? Roman Catholicism is still a moral conscience and aggregating the reference point of the daily life of a people?

The truth is that Catholicism is weak because of the apparent conditional on terror svilimento del proprio fascino.

He is currently the Host of Family Counseling, works at the "Service Law 194/78," Grassi Hospital, and is president of Life of Women "at the International House of Women.

Dr. Canitano, her abortions for 27 years. What made all these years go on?

lot of things. I am a doctor of the National Health Service and the 194 is a state law. And where there is a law we must enforce it, enforce it. In the seventies, I have fought, along with many other people, so that women could terminate a pregnancy without risk to health: thought it was right to protect our health, to all, and aims at harm reduction.

The question now is very different then ...

On the one hand it is true, for another it is not at all.

What do you mean?

Some forget that the ' abortion has always existed and will always exist: the difference is that now a woman who decides to do an abortion - Italian, immigrants, foreign or both - can do hospital without risking life and without paying thousands di euro.

Certo. Mi sento dire da altri colleghi di non "mollare", but it's hard sometimes to go forward even for people like me doing it for so many years. Sometimes you weigh everything you've done and what you do. Other hand, thanks to the stories of patients, helping him understand.

If we give up what would become of them? And I can not stop because I say and who helps them then?

It is also a matter of principle then?

Abortion is a pain for everyone. For those who decide to do so, the doctor who practices it. But in most cases as they arise, at least in my experience, is the only thing possible. The reasons that lead to a woman to decide to interrupt a pregnancy is never superficial. Working many years in the ASL of Ostia (Roman neighborhood overlooking the sea, among the largest and most populous in the Capital, ed), there do I prevent tumor of the second level, and I follow the women for abortions at every stage, from the decision to ' intervention.

We talk and talk about it, let's look together. Believe me: It is never a decision taken lightly, even by the girls.

You continue to do abortions, despite being president of an association that protects the health of women and specializes in sexology. Why do it? Why us sono pochi medici disposti a farlo?

E oggi?

I do it because I still believe in the secular state.

How many practice?

about ten a week, were once many more. The number of abortions has dropped dramatically in three decades, this does not ever say, how often, we pretend not to know that up to 140 thousand meo voluntary terminations conducted each year in Italy, two thirds are Italian and foreign third.

Do you think the 194 is to "review"?

at this time. It 's a good law, because it protects the most vulnerable women: le più povere, le meno alfabetizzate, le giovanissime, sono loro a ricorrere maggiormente all'aborto.
