Quella della scuola è una galassia piuttosto articolata, ma non impossibile da comprendere. Esiste la scuola dello Stato e quella che non lo è. Quest'ultima, la scuola non statale, si divide in due grandi gruppi: quella pubblica e quella privata. Queste, e siamo alla fine della spiegazione, possono essere paritarie e non paritarie. Le prime prendono parte alla spartizione del circa mezzo miliardo di euro che lo Stato conferisce in base ad una legge del 2000, le seconde vanno avanti con i loro soldi.

" noi non ci aspettavamo nessun taglio, ma al contrario degli incrementi, mettere le scuole paritarie nel capitolo degli sprechi da tagliare è inconcepibile ", argomenta Stenco lasciando intendere che, in molti istituti, suore e preti avrebbero raccolto firme contro il governo.
L'attacco è frontale e ben coordinato. Anche il Papa scende in campo auspicando " l'adozione di misure a favore dei genitori che li aiutino nel loro diritto inalienabile di educare i figli secondo le proprie convinzioni etiche e religiose ".

Ovviamente lui conta su un fatto che gli italiani non colleghino il fatto che, se di provocazioni si è trattato, queste sono state poste in essere da quello che lui ha sempre definito suo amico e di cui, comunque, è stato sempre il fido servitore. Lui quando parla si rivolge agli italiani e basta, perché a lui non interessa un fico secco dei rapporti internazionali, a lui interessano le leggi ad personam, le sue aziende, per questo lui dice le cose che l’italiano capisce e su quelle cose fonda il suo consenso.
Allora, che fare ?
Un partito o un partire? Davvero l’alternativa non può essere proprio questa, almeno oggi non più, perché il tempo è scaduto. La domanda che mi pongo e che pongo è questa: la sinistra, oppure le sinistre italiane, al di là di come dovrà chiamarsi (comunista o socialista) la casa nella quale ognuna di queste vuole giungere, hanno un tratto di strada che possono percorrere insieme? … e quanto è lunga questa strada? Credo che il tratto di strada che le sinistre potrebbe percorrere insieme prima di giungere ognuno nella sua terra promessa sia, purtroppo, molto lunga. A volte sembra un gioco dell’oca e oggi, in effetti, abbiamo pagato pegno perchè siamo tornati molto, ma molto indietro nella storia.
Sicuramente si potrebbe partire dalla questione morale, per ritrovarsi in quel percorso comune che vede nella costituzione repubblicana, nei suoi valori fondamentali, nella difesa della tripartizione dei po-teri dello stato, soprattutto dell’autonomia e dell’indipendenza della magistratura il comun denominatore sul quale cominciare a declinare un programma vero che porti ad un partito vero.
Non credo, infatti, che oggi un partito della sinistra non abbia nulla da dire sulla scuola pubblica, sulla laicità dello stato, sul lavoro come diritto di ogni cittadino e sulle libertà sindacali, sulla sicurezza sui posti di lavoro, sul diritto alla salute, sul sistema dell’informazione, su un sistema elettorale che restituisca la libertà di scelta al cittadino. Se l’economia poteva essere fino a qualche tempo fa un alibi formidabile per tenere le strade delle sinistre separate, il libero mercato, credo che sia ormai chiaro a tutti, è un sistema teorico, che esiste come termine di paragone sui manuali di economia e che nella pratica si è tradotto in libero e indiscriminato arbitrio di consumo di risorse naturali, libero e indiscriminato sfruttamento dell’uomo; che una regolamentazione del mercato finanziario sia necessaria, considerato anche il fatto che gli interventi di salvataggio posti in essere, per cercare di salvare capra e cavoli insieme al caviale dei banchieri, da insospettabili feudi del liberismo più sfrenato è comunque incommensurabilmente più costosa. Oggi, in economia, stiamo vedendo quello che per moda, per qualunquismo, per opportunismo, e soprattutto per ignoranza e molta malafede, molti non hanno voluto vedere: la libertà concessa a pochi di giocare al casinò del mercato finanziario globale, comporta effetti sull’economia reale insostenibili che intaccano development itself. Forse è bene ricordare che il mondo, prima che si sviluppasse il pensiero di sinistra, era composto da semplici società tribal and feudal.
